Jìng hǎi xiàn (静海县 – JingHai county) is part of the greater Tianjin administrative region, about an hour’s drive south-west-ish outside Tianjin city.

About some of the photos:
The blue and white slogan painted on the brick wall is telling people to care more about how they raise girls because that makes for a better cultural atmosphere (or something like that). The three-wheeled pickup truck is called a “three horse.” We happened to be out walking around when the elementary school got out for lunch, hence all the cute kids.
